High school juniors and seniors learn to tell their stories through one-on-one coaching or group workshops. Lynn works with students to find their unique stories best suited for the universities of their choice; they then learn to craft their stories into essays that are moving and memorable so that their essays will get noticed  -  a critical skill for college applications that high school students, oftentimes, have not yet mastered. Lynn works with any level writer and has helped hundreds of students gain admittance to their desired universities including those that are highly selective: Northwestern University, University of Michigan, University of Chicago, University of Wisconsin, George Washington University, Yale, and Dartmouth to name just a few. Not only do students write compelling application essays, they gain writing skills for post-high school success.

Lynn also guides individual students - throughout their four years of high school - to maximize their opportunities and craft their stories along the way. Too often students “do” school rather than approach it intentionally with the future in mind. We can change that. Lynn helps students navigate high school with the end in mind: she assists students in finding unique opportunities to explore and to develop their interests; she also assists them in building, designing and publishing their resumes and e-portfolios; and she guides them in exploring post-high school opportunities and preparing for post-high school success. Coaching is individualized for students based on their individual interests and needs; and when they reach senior year, they will have rich and unique experiences that have prepared them for their future.

Leading Upward is a comprehensive 9 - 12 grade program for schools that provides every student with opportunities to build their stories through soft-skill development, career-readiness experiences and future planning, leadership training and community building. Students are provided with layers of mentorship and support to guide all students in a high school to intentionally explore their talents, develop essential skills, look toward and prepare for their future.
